The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) through the Central Zone is participating in the Tanzanite Manyara Trade Fair, where today, October 18, 2023, Hon. Exaud Kigahe (MP), Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, is officially opening the fair.

Earlier, Dr. Baghayo Saqware, Commissioner of Insurance in Tanzania, informed the Deputy Minister when he visited the TIRA booth that the agricultural sector has entered the insurance market, as a consortium of agricultural insurers has been established and agricultural insurance will be launched in the market by July next year.

TIRA is participating in this fair to continue implementing the directives of the Financial Sector Development Master Plan 2020/2030 to provide education about insurance to citizens and businesses so that they can enter the insurance business as customers, agents, or advisors.
