As we approach National Insurance Day (2025), the Insurance Institute of Tanzania (IIT) has organized a debate that will involve students and university participants discussing various insurance-related topics. The debate will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Africa College of Insurance and Social Protection (ACISP), where the guest of honor is expected to be the Commissioner of Insurance, Dr. Baghayo Saqware.

This debate is one of the activities leading up to the National Insurance Day Conference, which will be held under the theme: "Transforming Lives Through Innovation: The Future of Insurance in Tanzania." The main event will take place from June 18 to 21, 2025, in Arusha.

Other activities leading up to the day include:

• Insurance Sports Day on May 31 at Tanzanite Sports Hub, Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam

• Insurance Walk and CSR event on June 18 in Arusha
