On July 28, 2023, in the presence of the guest of honor, the Minister of Information, Communications, and Technology, Hon. Nape Moses Nnauye (Member of Parliament), the Insurance Commissioner, Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware, issued and handed over an Advisory Insurance Business License to the National Postal Corporation. This event marks a significant strategy in the development and advancement of the insurance market in the country, aiming to extend insurance services to a larger number of citizens, as directed by the Election Manifesto of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party and the 10-Year Plan for Developing the Financial Sector in the Country.

Minister of Information, Communications, and Technology, Hon. Nape Moses Nnauye, delivered a crucial speech at the insurance licensing event held in Arusha. In his address, Hon. Nnauye emphasized the importance of the insurance sector in impacting the lives of citizens and stressed that postal activities will only have meaning if they directly affect people's lives.

Hon. Nape highlighted the vital role of insurance in touching the lives of citizens and assisting them in tackling life's challenges. He emphasized that insurance should be oriented towards providing real solutions to people's needs and contributing to building a financially robust society.

During his speech, Hon. Nnauye also addressed the request made by the Insurance Commissioner, Dr. Saqware, who called for a reduction in the costs of disseminating insurance education through media channels. In response to this request, Hon. Nape instructed Mr. Msigwa to oversee the matter and reduce advertising costs for insurance companies on TV, radio, and newspapers. This step will enable insurance companies to reach the public more easily and affordably, thus empowering citizens with accurate information on the benefits of insurance and financial protection.
