On 03^rd August 2023, the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) conducted the inauguration of three new insurance guidelines namely:

1. Guidelines on Retention and Reinsurance Management.
2. Guidelines for Medical Insurance and Registration of Health Service Providers (HSPs).
3. Guidelines on Accreditation of Automobile Repairers and Maintainers Servicing Insurance Sector.

The inauguration of the Guidelines took place at Saint. Gasper Conference in Dodoma. Where the Guest of honor was Ms. Jenifa C. Omolo, Deputy Permanent Secretary-Ministry of Finance-Treasury Services (DSTS). In addition, Mr. Abubakar Ndwata, Director of Supervision from the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority participated in the launch on behalf of the Commissioner of Insurance Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware. The inauguration was also attended by various stakeholders in the insurance industry and some of the Authority (TIRA) staff.

The guidelines are aimed at strengthening supervision and developing the insurance industry in the country.
