From 30th March to 31st March 2023, Uganda hosted the 18th East African Insurance Supervisors Association (EAISA). The meeting was organized and hosted by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss how East African Insurance Supervisors can collaborate and ensure that EAC insurance markets grow.

  On his part, Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware, Commissioner of Insurance Tanzania, explained that East African Insurance Market has common characteristics and common challenges which require common intervention.

 Furthermore, Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware emphasizes the harmonization of legal instruments and frameworks in order to create a favorable environment for investors as well as work strategically together to address challenges.
